App Interface Walkthrough
App Interface Walkthrough
This guide walks through the ParentSEE app on your own phone, so you know where to find things. Your child's devices are set up separately: see How to Set Up ParentSEE on Android and How to Set Up ParentSEE on iPhone or iPad.
The five tabs
Along the bottom of the app are five tabs: Home, Activity, Alerts, Insights, and Settings.
Home
A card for each child, with their age and when their devices last reported. Open Top Activities to see what they used most, or tap Activity, Alerts, or Insights on the card to go straight to that child. To add a child, tap Add Your First Child, or + Add another child once you have one.
Activity
The websites and apps your child's devices reached, newest first. Choose one child or All children at the top, and use Search activity to find a site or app. Tap the ⓘ button for About activity data, which explains what the feed shows.
Alerts
Safety alerts for your children. Each alert shows how serious it is, what kind of concern it is, and the websites or apps involved. Tap an alert to jump to that moment in Activity.
Insights
A few things we noticed about each child over the Last 7 days. They refresh once a day; pull down for the latest.
Settings
Adding a device
Go to Settings → Devices, tap + Add Device, and answer What type of device?
The app walks you through each step and tells you when the device has connected.
What your child sees
On an Android phone with the ParentSEE app, your child sees a screen titled ParentSEE is on. It says: "Your parents see which apps and websites, not what you type, read, or say." We think monitoring a child's phone should never be a secret from the child.
